Ikan bawal goreng berlada with lots & lots of celery


Assalamualaikum,

Actually ni gambar lama dari koleksi masa-masak Ibu. Ikan bawal goreng berlada with lots and lots of celery. Nothing much yang special sangat nak cerita pasal lauk ni cuma, its spicy, very easy to prepare and my kids loves it.

The only thing yang Ibu perasan, ikan bawal hitam disini kurang mendapat sambutan jika dibandingkan dengan bawal putih. Back in Malaysia, bawal putih sinonim dengan sedikit hanyir and isinya lebih lembut. Tapi disini, most of the people, prefer the white ones from the black ones. I just don't know the actual reason but I can only presume, maybe of the looks la. Biasa la HITAM -vs- PUTIH. And I rather actually agree that bawal putih lagi sedap dari bawal hitam. Tapi since dah beli, masak aje la kan..

Semasa this picture was taken.. Amsyar was on his winter break. Ibu memang susah nak dok diam or dapat rehat during this particular time. Antara tugas wajib Ibu, terpaksa jadi "Jaksa Pedamai" bagi meleraikan "perang sivil" antara hero-hero Ibu. Setiap 10minit (sometimes even less) sure ada yang terpekik mintak tolong sebab kena karate etc etc etc...

Then bab masak, satu hal la pulak.. bebudak ni asyik laparrrrr jer. Kejap-kejap lapar, kejap-kejap lapar. Amsyar nak itu, Haazem nak ini, Arif nak lain pulak... Yang tension tu, suma tak moh makan nasik.. At last malam tu Ibu angkat tangan dengan bendera putih.. Tak larat la nak masak macam-macam.. So last option, Ibu masak ikan bawal goreng berlada (tak pedas mana pun) campur celeri sebanyak mungkin. Kira 2 in 1 la ni.. ikan ngan sayur.. setel... bismillah...
